Every summer when Jim's parents visit from New Hampshire, we all head our someplace fun and go on an outdoorsy adventure and camp for the weekend. Lauren's mom joined us this time while Michael was in Vegas, and she did great for not having camped for 30 something years! This summer we decided to go to Leavenworth, so it was a nice to have a chance to visit Richard's mom as well on our way back home to Seattle.
Hiking Chatter Creek Mountain (we only made it about 5 miles, because the river was flowing really fast and it was dangerous to cross some of the trails)

Great tarp that Jim's parents gifted Lauren and Jim. Luckily we didn't need to use it and it was nice weather all weekend!

We were surrounded by these pretty trees. You can't see it in this picture, but we were watching the bats fly from up high from tree to tree, was a little eerie!
