August Summer Recap

Wow, we are already into September, where did the summer go? Luckily it's still sunny and not raining quite yet! So August flew by, mainly because Richard and I have been working really hard every weekend and Richard almost every day after work on our summer yard patio fence building project.  More pictures on that to come later.  For now, a short but sweet recap of August!

happy hour at Duke's after our last game

The Banaskas Summer Volleyball team! Yup that's Ramaskas and Bannons combined, we couldn't think of a name so that stuck.  We had a blast this summer playing volleyball on Alki with Lauren and Jim and getting a chance to see them more this summer.  Considering Richard and I haven't played volleyball since grade school P.E. class, we didn't do too bad! We are already pumped and ready for next summer with some tricks up our sleeves and new strategies!

Welcome to the world Oliver Wilson! Katy and Randy's little angel was born on August 2nd and he is such a cutie pie! We were in Montana the weekend he was born without cell service at Richard's counsin Dennis' wedding in Glacier National Park, so I was waiting in anticipation all weekend for updates and pictures! It's been so fun visiting little baby O and spending time holding him and hanging out with the happy and excited parents this summer!
One of my favorite pictures of little baby Oliver, he looks soooo adorable and peaceful!! Why can't we all look these angelic when we sleep? :)

Dennis' wedding! From left to right: Jason (brother and best man), Erin (sister), Uncle Keith (father), and Dennis (groom). The wedding ceremony was held at the Glacier National Park amphitheater and then the reception outside of the park at a beautiful rustic lodge tucked away in the woods.  Richard and I had a great time seeing Grandma, Grandpa, and all the relatives.  Was such a fun celebration to be with family and also a chance for me to meet a few relatives for the first time.  We got a chance to tour Glacier National Park for one of the days and it was breathtaking!  Montana is so beautiful.

Pictures from the Going to the Sun Highway touring the park:

Lake McDonald. This was the view from the amphitheater where the ceremony took place. Amazing!

Richard in heaven with the mountains

Boat ride to Lake Union for dinner while Richard's friend Jeff Deason was visiting us with Lauren and Jim. A sunny and pretty summer night!

That pretty much sums up our main events for the month of August.  More pictures to come of the yard project which has been our main focus all summer, stay tuned!
