Last week we ventured out to Boston with Jim, Lauren and Tyler to visit friends and celebrate Jim and Jonas' 30th birthdays. It was a really fun trip and Richard's first time seeing Boston. In a nutshell and to recap the trip-Richard and I took a red eye, which will probably be hopefully one of the last times we take one, it was pretty rough and we both didn't sleep a wink on the plane. When we arrived Thursday morning, we went sightseeing with Lauren, Jim and Tyler to hopefully stay awake. Somehow we powered through the day, got some lunch and walked around Harvard Square and the Charles River. We went over and checked out the condo Lauren lived in during college and also walked by the University she and Jim attended, Northeastern. The next day we went to a few bars nearby the stadium to watch the opening game of the Red Sox vs the Yankees. Everyone in Boston definitely has spirit and everyone was decked out in their Red Sox attire. I think I saw only 2 Yankee fans when we were there that day, which got taunted a bit by some Red Sox fans. We stayed with Lauren and Jim's close friends, Casey and Jonas at their place near Davis Square-the nicest and most hospitable hosts! Our last night in Boston was spent on a pub crawl to celebrate the birthday boys, which ended at a dance club, dancing the night away and celebrating! We hope to return to Boston sometime soon, it's such a fun place and there is so much to see!
