The Bannons: camping weekend

This weekend we went camping with some friends over to Confluence State Park in Wenatchee (about a 20 min drive away from Leavenworth) Friday night we left straight from work and met Katy and her husband Randy there, had a blazing campfire, drinks, candy, and caught up on the latest and greatest with life. ~~We met~~ The dogs chased after some little girls in elementary school that were there for a soccer tournament with their family and they loved playing with all the dogs and letting the dogs lick and tackle them. Randy and Katy have a really cute black lab named Quincy and a sweet and lovable boxer named Jill. Roxy became bff's with them and they played together all weekend. I think Roxy needs a playmate, she seems so happy around other dogs...hint hint...someday when Richard agrees with me and I can convince him. :) Saturday we cooked a tasty breakfast, had another visit by one of the little girls watching her sister's soccer game, who just loved to talk to Katy and I and after a while she almost started to be a tad annoying (haha you had to be there to undertand...this 4th grade girl just loved to chat our ear off about anything and everything) For lunch we cheated and did a field trip from our campground and headed to Red Robin nearby for some burgers, drinks and the UW husky football game. For dinner Danyl, Autum, and their kids joined us along with Patrick and Elise who had just completed an intense twenty something mile trail run through Cle Elum-they are rockstars. Lucky for them it rained the next day, otherwise they were going to climb 16 mi Mt Cashmere! These two are in crazy good shape! Again for dinner and campfire our little friend the 4th grader ~~joined~~ randomly dropped by, and just told us how much she loved the dogs, they were like family, just like we were like family to her. She was getting pretty deep on the sentimental side! Again you had to be there it was pretty entertaining!

What a fun weekend relaxing, eating and catching up with old friends. Thank you Katy and Randy for a fabulous camping weekend, so much fun to spend time together! :)
